A degree used by the Magus rule
The Magus with the tiara. It is one of the two degrees whose image is a Magus.
- P. Christian’s “Theban calendar” (1863), our translation from the French: “A Magus, the tiara on his brow and the sceptre in his hand.” Aptitude for the high sciences.
- La Volasfera (1898) describes two interlaced triangles with a third set above them, and calls it a degree of mastery.
The 1488 image above is plainer than the 1863 one: the Magus is P. Christian’s addition. See the sources.
